Project Description: This project was constructed by China International Engineering Corporation Limited. It provides complete power transformation stations and supporting power transmission and transformation systems for the MTU diesel power stations in Matanzas and San Fernando of Cuba. This is a key energy project of China International Engineering Corporation in Cuba. The core content of the project includes the construction of the power transformation station itself, the laying of transmission lines, and the integration of relay protection and monitoring systems. The power generated by the diesel generators is stepped up and connected to the Cuban national power grid to achieve stable grid connection and efficient power transmission. The project was completed and put into operation around 2018, effectively filling the power gap in the central region of Cuba and ensuring the power supply for core industries such as the San Fernando Refinery and local people's livelihoods. It is an important achievement of practical energy cooperation between China and Cuba.
